Hotel Maitai Rangiroa

Hotel rating
3 star

Whether you are looking for an unforgettable vacation or an amazing scuba diving location, Maitai Rangiroa welcomes you to the island of Rangiroa; known worldwide for its exceptional marine life.

Situated in a coconut plantation and dispersed among exotic gardens,
Hotel Maitai Rangiroa overlooks Rangiroa's immense lagoon from a rocky stretch of shoreline on the northern end of Rangiroa. Located five minutes from the airport, it provides convenient access to two of the world's best diving destinations, the Tiputa and Avatoru Pass. With the exception of six beachside bungalows, the majority of the guest accommodations are dispersed among a thriving coconut grove.

The atmosphere is relaxed and restful just at the water's edge. You can take advantage of the long pontoon to take a dip in the warm waters and meet the fish. You will also have the option to get settled at the panoramic bar to admire the landscape and the various blue hues of the lagoon.

Each guestroom at the Hotel Maitai Rangiroa features a traditional design with appropriately modest furnishings. In the absence of any overwater bungalows, there is a shared overwater pier for easy access to the lagoon.
The Tapa Bungalows are duplex-style buildings, scattered at the edges of the resort with views of the lush gardens.

The Vini Bungalows are scattered within the resort's gardens with garden views.
The Lagoon Bungalows are located along the water's edge with views across Rangiroa's stunning lagoon.

Each air-conditioned bungalow features a king size bed or 2 twin beds, sitting area with sofa bed, desk, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, coffee/tea facilities, mini bar, telephone, television, ceiling fan, and in room safe.

The restaurant, Blue Lagoon, serves French, international and Polynesian cuisine in a charming and traditional Polynesian setting.

Complimentary activities include biking, snorkeling, kayaking and outrigger canoeing. A weekly activity program welcomes guests to a number of local entertainment on-site, including a Poisson Cru show, a flower crown presentation, pareo show, palm weaving, Polynesian music and Tahitian dance lessons.
