Hotel Lana'i
Hotel Rating
3 stars

Nestled in towering Cook Pines at the top of Lana'i City, Hotel Lana'i
invites you to slow down, step back in time and enjoy a simpler way
of life. The hotel is a historic landmark, where all guests are treated
to the personal and family-like ambiance one might expect from a
country inn.
Staying at the Hotel Lana'i is an opportunity to
experience simplicity at its best in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Built in 1923 by James Dole as lodging for Dole Plantation executives,
Hotel Lana'i was the first and only hotel on Lana'i until 1990. Today, the
hotel houses 11 charming guest rooms and an award-winning restaurant.

Guest rooms feature a charming plantation style décor, preserving
the hotel's original design. Adding to the hotel's character, each
room has a flair of its own with unique Hawaiian quilts, distinct
furnishings, and artwork from Lana'i artists. All rooms have ceiling
fans, hardwood flooring, a private bathroom with shower, mini
refrigerator/freezer and pedestal sinks. A hidden gem is the one bedroom cottage; the only accommodations with a TV and DVD player. The cottage comes with it's own deck complete with a hammock for those lazy
afternoons, as well as an outdoor dining area.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available for all rooms. Room amenities
include: daily maid service, alarm clock/radio, hair dryer, iron and
ironing board. A complimentary continental breakfast is self served
in the lobby from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM daily.

There are a host of island-wide activities for guests to enjoy while
staying at Hotel Lana'i. From adventures including snorkeling, hiking,
horseback riding, yoga and world-class golfing to boutique shopping,
intimate art galleries and Lana'i’s Hawaiian Cultural Center; there is
something for everyone.

Lana'i City Bar & Grill Grille is the alluring in-house restaurant of Hotel Lana'i.
In harmony with the charismatic ambiance of the hotel itself, this
friendly venue glows with Hawaiiana charm and is a bona fide feast
for the senses. With its fresh innovative cuisine, it is one of Lana'i's
premiere dining experiences.

Chef Jimi Lasquete composes innovative farm-to-table fare inspired by island culinary traditions. The Lanai City Bar & Grille menu showcases Lasquete’s passion for fresh and local ingredients, like Calamansi and Pohole fern, which he uses to create dishes that delight all the senses.

Raised on Lanai, the Grille’s two mixologists, Jacob Baltero and Marcom Pascua, have created a cocktail-focused bar using new and old techniques from around the globe. An evolving selection of cocktails with bold flavor-profiles are featured on the drink menu, as well as a robust wine list and selection of non-alcoholic beverages for every palette. Complement your meal with a classic “Lana'i Tai” or a glass of your favorite vintage or ale.

Kick off your weekend with “Friday Under The Stars”, an exceptional evening of fine food and live music every Pau Hana Friday at Lana'i City Bar & Grille. In the pine-scented air under a canopy of stars, the outdoor lanai offers diners a front row seat to a musical soiree featuring an assortment of local talent.

The Grille is open Thursday through Sunday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Reservations are highly recommended.

The island of Lana'i can be reached by a non-stop flight from Honolulu or Maui, a charter flight or a 50-minute passenger ferry ride from Maui. The ferry is a very scenic trip during whale season. Boat charters are available as well.
